Situation The client is a US based Technology Company with sophisticated laboratories and inspection offices around the world. Their success has been achieved by offering their customers a flexible, high quality service. Driven by a belief that there is significant potential for expansion of the Turkish business, this company needed to recruit a new General Manager to lead their operation in Turkey.
Solution OneWorld Consulting was retained to search for a high calibre, English speaking General Manager. Our challenge was to identify high potential, top quality candidates in a sector marked by its lack of internationally experienced and professionally trained talent.
OneWorld Consulting adopted a creative, urgent approach at each stage of the project. This included proactively identifying target organisations, both inside and outside the industry sector, to search for potential candidates.
We identified possible candidates through our own network based on years of experience in the market and also by using our own proactive research techniques. We also enabled our client to benchmark expatriate and Turkish candidate executives.
Our researchers and consultants conducted thorough competency-based candidate interviews, presented a shortlist of five candidates, oversaw the client interview process and provided the necessary feedback to candidates. Finally, we managed the client offer and candidate acceptance process.
Result In addition to sharing the research results, OneWorld Consulting provided general insight and advice on the talent market in Turkey to the hiring manager based overseas. OneWorld Consulting also ensured a smooth candidate offer and acceptance process, provided compensation advice and has kept in touch with both parties over the first few months of employment. Within eight weeks of the project start date our client recruited a high potential General Manager with international experience.
